Shut out of the process? You actually believe that? Poor little GOP was just being bullied around, yeah bullshit. The dems let them derail too much, that was the only problem, they had too much say not that they didn't have enough.

And he meant no reverse racism out of it as you'd like to read into it. It was another machination of his economic "car in the ditch" stuff. He pushed it out to the point of telling the GOP that their ideas which got us "in the ditch" would be heard last and would be in the back of the line/"bus". That's what he meant.Quote:
I didn't say it, Obama did.
That's bull. They didn't have any ideas to include into any process that was going on. Nothing good that didn't include "tear the whole thing up and let us do what we want". That was the best idea Boehner, Cantor, McConnell could come up with.Quote:
And as for the bolded part of your post, baloney. With Barry, Nancy and Harry in control, the Republicans were completely shut out of any process.
I blame the Tea Party for pushing me further left. After hearing their batshit crazy stuff that was w/o logic or facts, I'm leaning stoutly to the left for sure. No doubt about it.Quote:
You know, for someone who claims to be in the middle...
Like I said, let's wait and see. Will the GOP have good ideas to help the nation at the risk of political capital? Will they pander to the corporations that contribute to their campaigns, or to the Tea Party that energized their base when they looked dead in the water? If they don't do what the Tea Party wants, will the GOP cannibalism begin in 2011? It's going to be fun to watch.
What are you talking about prick? I'm actually doing something with my life, I was honored to have the opportunity for that internship and working with the campaign. I really don't know wtf you're talking about. I know you don't understand anything and don't care how screwed the citizens of our area are, doesn't look like you care too much about education either or your future so far. I'm just scared to death about the loss of funding to the colleges in our area, I know you don't, but I am and am fired up about it.
Well, I usually am a "die-hard" republican, but Boucher is THE one democrat I voted for. I do believe that he actually did more for the people of this area of the 9th than I think Griffith ever will. Yeah, the cap and trade is what got Boucher, but ask yourselves, just what has Griffith got to offer us?
I will have to admit(really hate to) but r13 is correct on this; however, I don't think I would ever be ashamed to live anywhere in this district. The people of this area I think did give in to all the negative campaigning Griffith did while Boucher did not try to defend himself until it was too late in the campaign. He should have gotten out more and made himself more visible, say like a door to door campaign. That would have gone a long way.
Door to door campaigning by him is ineffective, too much ground to cover and a lot of wasted time. He had events basically everyday around here, setting the record straight on a lot of this, the numbers were a lot higher than years past but more people should have came and heard him out. He was trying to combat this stuff from day one, it's really up to the people to get off their ass and do a little digging their self too, they didn't do that and went to the polls anyway thinking they knew what the truth was. People around here are too damn stubborn, most anyway and it's mainly the older voters set in their ways but think because they've been here longer than dirt that they automatically know everything - they are by far the least informed group I have ever met, that's on both sides too.
And here you all thought Boucher was unfairly called out....
